Lenin’s Thoughts on the struggle of the proletarian class for democracy and socialism

  • Lê Minh Quân

Abstract

V.I. Lenin, in the leading and guiding of the revolution, always paid considerable attention to the position and importance of democracy in the struggle of the proletarian class. Struggling for democracy with different levels and characters before and after gaining the power is part of the common goal of the liberation war carried out by the proletarian class. It is also the final goal and the drive of the socialism construction. Thus, the most important matter as Lenin said is not only propagandizing democracy, proclaiming and issuing an order on democracy, or not only entrusting representatives of the popular elected institutions to implement democracy, but it is necessary to promptly build a democratic regime, which should start from the grassroots level, rely on the public comments and involve real participation of the people in the public life. That is the requirement and the demand of the socialism construction and the renewal cause for the socialism in Vietnam at the time being. Social Sciences Information Review Vol.11 2005 31-36
