Abstract

Foreign direct investment (FDI) in the world is showing new development trends. Global FDI flows into the energy sector are experiencing significant changes, which are the increase in investment and the shift from traditional sources to renewable energy. While Vietnam is becoming an attractive destination for FDI and potential for renewable energy, foreign investors in this sector is still quite modest compared to others. Attracting FDI into the energy sector in Vietnam, especially renewable energy, is facing many difficulties and challenges that need to be resolved.
