Education Policy Responses in the Context of Covid-19: International Experience and References for Vietnam

Abstract

School closure across the world due to Covid-19 outbreak has put students at higher risk of learning loss and increased educational inequality. Several educational policy responses have been initiated to overcome this crisis. Although it has become a major topic of interest among international scholars, very little has been studied in Vietnam. Against this background, the paper reviews educational policy responses to Covid-19 in Europe and Asia, and analyzes Vietnam’s responses from Jan 2020 to Aug 2021. It thereby provides some policy recommendations for Vietnam in the complex and unpredictable context of Covid-19.
