Abstract

Over the past half-century, many new economic models and theories have been geared toward social and ecological transformation, as well as put focus on the measurement of human well-being in economic activities. Gross National Happiness (GNH), specifically Gross National Happiness in Business, has been broadly received by enterprises worldwide. Significant changes have been seen in the awareness and actions of governments, non-governmental organizations, and enterprises toward realizing GNH in business. The paper overviews the implementation of Gross National Happiness in businesses in Europe, which is believed a useful reference for Vietnam in mobilizing resources for ecological environment protection, cultural preservation, education, and community development.
