Management of Folk Festivals from Anthropological View

Abstract

From the controversial festival phenomina in the recent time, especially the arguments of state management of festivals, this writing reconsiders the tendency of change of festivals and the method of management of festivals from which it proposes a number of recommendations of the management of festivals at present. In front of the practical situation of tendencies of change of festivals which taking place very fast as at present, there are two converse jets of public opinions: 1) The organization and management of festivals are very disorderly which lose ethnic cultural identities, cause many negative consequences so that it is necessary to “forbid”, “quit” festivals or raise mainly the transient solutions; and 2) making light of the role of state management, let people free manage and organize festivals. Both such two jets of public opinions don’t assess correctly the practice. So that, it is needed to have a viewpoint of appoach suitable to the practice. Besides, the management of festivals is administration of a sensitive field, which requires a system of documents of full and effective legal regulations
