Research on fabrication of heat pump dryer combined with infrared to dry agricultural and aquatic products

Abstract

The paper presented research results of manufacturing a heat pump dryer combined with infrared radiation with a capacity of 5 kg/batch. Accordingly, the main specifications of the dryer had been designed: drying room (length × width × height) = 700 × 740 × 1200 mm; capacity of the compressor Ns = 745W; heat exchange area of the condenser in F = 5.815 m²; the heat exchange area of the evaporator reached 3.406 m²; the diameter of capillary was 2mm and length 1500 mm; the relative humidity of the drying air φkk = 15 ÷ 17%. The results of experimental research on drying white shrimp and dried avocado slices with the drying time of about 2.73 hours had the best quality and the highest productivity were reached.
