Abstract
This article provides a systematic review of research related to digital transformation (DTE)
in higher education (HE) in the world and in Vietnam, showing that current models and theoretical
frameworks mainly focus on civilian educational institutions. From there, the article points out important
research gaps related to DTE in universities of the armed forces (LLVT) - where there are security
requirements, dual goals, centralized management mechanisms and specific organizational cultures that
popular models have not met. The article proposes a research agenda to build a theoretical and practical
basis for DTE in military schools, contributing to improving the quality of training to serve the task of
protecting the Fatherland
