Abstract

Research in contrastive rhetoric between modern Chinese and Vietnamese holds significant
theoretical and practical importance, especially within the context of the growing demand for Vietnamese
people to learn and proficiently use Chinese. Building upon the achievements of domestic and international
research, this paper conducts a comparison of Chinese-Vietnamese rhetorical devices, systematizes
similar rhetorical devices, and highlights the differences in distinctive ones. From this analysis, it
proposes specific teaching methodologies aimed at contributing to the enhancement of Chinese language
training quality for Vietnamese learners, with the ultimate goal of enabling active, creative, and refined
language use
