SURVEYING OF DIGITAL COMPETENCIES OF LECTURERS OF THU DAU MOT UNIVERSITY AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Abstract
In the context of globalization and digitalization, improving digital capacity for lecturers has become an urgent requirement. The study was conducted to evaluate the current situation and propose solutions to improve digital competencies for lecturers at Thu Dau Mot University. Survey results according to the JISC Framework show that lecturers have achieved a fairly good level of digital competency in most areas. However, there are still some limitations that need to be overcome. Specifically, lecturers have not really taken advantage of open source software options and have difficulty processing data. Creativity and technological innovation need to be paid more attention. Regarding online collaboration, the use of video conferencing and collaborative work management is still limited. Finally, lecturers have not really proactively familiarized themselves with new technology and taken on new roles to develop digital competencies. Since then, the research team has proposed recommendations such as training in new technologies, open source software, data processing; Encourage participation in innovation projects; Training on effective use of online conferencing and project management tools. At the same time, it is necessary to create an environment that motivates lecturers to actively integrate into the online community and take on new roles to continuously develop digital capabilities and meet the increasing trend of digitalization.
