APPLYING ANSYS FLUENT SOFTWARE IN IMPROVEMENT OF THE TEMPERATURE FIELD OF LONGAN DRYER
Abstract
Today, manual longan drying kilns are still commonly used in longan growing provinces such as Hung Yen and Son La. These furnaces have low efficiency due to the inappropriate layout of the heat exchanger and the use of poor insulation materials. Temperature, pressure, and speed of the drying agent greatly affect the quality of the dried product. This article will introduce the method of simulating the thermodynamic gas field of a 36 m3 drying oven of a household-scale production unit in Song Ma district, Son La province, based on Ansys Fluent software. The obtained results indicate an uneven temperature distribution in the drying oven. Based on the results of simulation calculations, research has been done to improve the oven configuration to improve the oven's performance and the results show that the temperature field in the oven is improved, thereby improving product quality.
