PROPOSAL PROCESS FOR BUILDING A LESSON PLAN TO DEVELOP DIGITAL COMPETENCE FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract

Digital competence is one of the essential skills for citizens in the digital era. It is also crucial in helping learners succeed in their studies and future careers. Therefore, developing digital competence for students is a matter that is currently receiving attention from the entire society. In the 2018 General Education Program, digital competence is developed through the subject of Informatics and integrated across all subjects. However, there have not been specific guidelines to help teachers integrate the development of digital competence for students in the teaching of different subjects. Hence, we conducted this research to propose a process for teachers to design lesson plans to develop the digital competence of students in high schools. The outcome of the research provides useful materials to help teachers effectively apply digital technology in teaching activities, thereby enhancing the digital competence of students and contributing to improving the quality of education.
