CAREER ORIENTATION FOR CHINESE LANGUAGE STUDENTS AT BAC GIANG AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY UNIVERSITY: INFLUENCING FACTORS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Abstract
Career orientation plays a crucial role in shaping the professional futures of students in the context of a fluctuating labor market. This paper seeks to explore and analyze the various factors that influence the career orientation of students majoring in Chinese language at Bac Giang Agriculture and Forestry University. With a sample size of 155 students, including 6 in-depth interviews, the study reveals that students tend to make career decisions early on, influenced by a complex interplay of both subjective and objective factors. These factors include family background, peer influence, market trends, and personal interests. The article provides key solutions to support students in defining clear career goals and choosing a career that suits their personal aspirations as well as the requirements of the current and future labor market.
