APPLYING SOME ADVANCED EDUCATION METHODS IN ORGANIZING EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN AT PRESCHOOL
Abstract
This study examines the application of the STEAM and Reggio Emilia methods in organizing educational activities for preschool children in a way that meets requirements and aligns with practical conditions. Using theoretical research methods, surveys, and expert consultation, the article explores the concepts, significance, implementation approaches, and conditions for applying STEAM and Reggio Emilia, as well as the current status of their application in preschools. The survey results indicate that both methods have been implemented, with STEAM being applied at a higher level. However, schools still face several challenges in terms of building learning environments, infrastructure, equipment, and funding during the implementation process. Based on this reality, the article proposes two measures for applying these methods in organizing educational activities for preschool children: Creating an environment for children to engage in activities; Utilizing specific teaching materials in children’s activities. Effectively implementing these measures will maximize the capabilities of both teachers and children, contributing to the improvement of childcare and education quality in preschools. At the same time, these measures will also inspire further research on the application of other advanced educational methods, meeting the requirements for innovation in the preschool education curriculum.
