Using case-based teaching methods to enhance effectiveness in teaching the financial accounting course

Abstract
Innovating teaching methods at higher education in general, and for each module aims to enhance the quality of education and meet social needs. Case-based teaching methods are an approach to the innovation. Developing active teaching and cooperative learning methods is not only significant during students’ school time but also provides essential skills for the student’s post-graduation work and daily life. This article discusses the application of case study methods in teaching the course of financial accounting to generate more interest in learning and to help students apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations, fostering students’ self-study awareness, teamwork and presentation skills.
