DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN ACCOUNTING - AUDITING IN VIETNAM, OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES

Abstract

The fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) is creating profound changes in global economic activities, with the explosion of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, blockchain, cloud computing and the Internet of Things (IoT). These technologies not only reshape the corporate governance model but also fundamentally change the nature and methods of accounting and auditing practice. In that context, the accounting and auditing industry is facing the need for comprehensive transformation to meet the requirements of transparency, accuracy and timeliness in financial management and internal control of the unit. This article, from the perspective of a specialized scientist, outlines global trends in the field of modern accounting and auditing, assesses the impact of digital transformation on Vietnam and proposes a number of strategic solutions for the Accounting and Auditing industry to effectively adapt to the digital age and international integration.
