TOWARD A LOW-CARBON ECONOMY: CHALLENGES FOR VIETNAM’S FINANCIAL SYSTEM AND LESSON FROM SOME COUTRIES

Abstract

In the inevitable trend of green transition toward a circular economy and sustainable growth in Vietnam, the financial system plays a crucial role in guiding the overall growth and development of the economy. This paper aims to assess the current state of Vietnam's financial system in supporting the transition to a lowcarbon economy. Using a multi-dimensional analytical approach combined with comparative analysis of
policy frameworks for financial system development in the context of carbon emission reduction, the study offers policy recommendations for Vietnam drawn from successful international models.
