Abstract
In Vietnam, implementing the early education program from a child-centered approach creates conditions for children's participation. This study showed that most teachers recognized the importance of children's involvement in implementing the early education program from a child-centered perspective. Children's participation in daily preschool activities, especially in outdoor activities, corner play, and field trips, was highly regarded. Factors affecting children's participation primarily revolved around the individual adaptation of each child, the educational environment, teachers, and the methods employed by the teachers. Challenges during the implementation process were related to each teacher's competency, individual differences among children, and limited financial resources for organizing activities. Additionally, proposals to enhance children's participation in the child-centered program focus on improving the educational environment, enhancing teachers' capabilities, and other relevant issues.
