THE CURRENT STATUS OF USING EDUCATION WEBSITES TO INTEGRATE LIFE SKILLS IN NATURAL AND SOCIAL SUBJECT AT PRIMARY SCHOOL IN HO CHI MINH CITY

Abstract

Equipping students with essential life skills enhances their ability to adapt effectively to their environment and improves their quality of life. It is crucial to develop and practice these skills starting from the elementary level. A survey of 170 primary school teachers in Ho Chi Minh City showed that most teachers have quite good awareness of integrated life skills education for primary school students and in Natural and Social subject. When implementing teaching, teachers search for learning materials that integrate life skills education from many different sources but mainly from the internet. However, teachers still encounter many difficulties when verifying information and selecting content appropriate to the requirements of the lesson. Besides, teachers want to have a reliable website that provides teaching materials integrating life skills education in Natural and Social subject and does not take much time to search. This result shows that designing a website that integrates life skills education is a necessary need for teachers and is suitable for the current digital technology era.
