Abstract
The photoelectrochemical properties of TiO2-MnO2 composite were determined by cyclic voltammetry
(CV), potentiostatic polarization, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) analysis under dark
or UV illumination. The results showed that the photocurrent density of TiO2 was enhanced when adding
MnO2 into TiO2 nanotube arrays and depended on the number of cycles and the UV light intensity. Under
UV illumination, the photocurrent response of TiO2 reached 2.36 mA/cm2 and that of TiO2-MnO2 composite
increased significantly to 3.4 mA/cm2
. The presence of MnO2 in composite made conductivity increase in
both dark and light conditions thanks to Rct reduced 4 times in dark and 31 times in illumination conditions.
