Abstract

     Renovating teaching methods in the direction of developing learners' capacity is a common trend in educational innovation in the world as well as in Vietnam. It is a process that includes all organised and oriented teaching and learning activities to help learners improve their thinking capacity and ability to apply knowledge in practice. At the same time, it is also a change from traditional education according to the method of receiving one-dimensional knowledge, limiting the creativity and dynamics in learners who only memorize mechanically to modern education to create people with high independent thinking ability, ability to apply theory in practice, creative dynamism, confidence. From the above fact, the author focuses on explaining the need to innovate teaching methods in the direction of developing learners' capacity and raising some issues about innovating teaching methods in the direction of developing learners' capacity in teaching the National Defence and Security Guidelines of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
