PEOPLE’S PERCEPTION TO AIR POLLUTION IN CRAFT VILLAGES OF HOAI DUC DISTRICT, HANOI CITY

Abstract

Air pollution is a prominent environmental problem in Hanoi at the moment, including the air environment in craft villages. In that context, the awareness of craft villagers about air pollution is an important topic that needs to be studied and researched. The article highlights the reality of people's awareness in some craft villages in Hoai Duc district (Hanoi) about air pollution.  The results showed that the majority of craft villagers were aware of what air pollution is, its causes and effects. However, most of the people doing the craft are not properly aware of the impact of craft village activities on the environment, especially the air environment. The article also analyzes some difficulties and challenges for the post-production waste treatment process and makes some recommendations to raise awareness and awareness of environmental protection for local people.
