AN ANALYSIS OF TOURIST DEMAND ON EXPERIENCE TOURISM IN PHONG DIEN DISTRICT, CAN THO CITY

Abstract

Experiential tourism is a type of tourism that gives visitors many health and mental benefits, so it is attracting more and more tourists to participate. For Phong Dien district, the development of experiential tourism is very important to effectively exploit the natural and social strengths of the locality. This study uses questionnaire survey method with 100 tourists to Phong Dien. The results show that, the participation of local tourists in experiential tourism is frequent. Experiential tourism activities in Phong Dien are diverse and there are rich and sustainable sources of information for tourists to learn about tourism. Experiential tourism requirements of the tourists are various, including the need for activities, time and benefits. The article also proposes solutions to develop experiential tourism in Phong Dien district.
