Performance evaluation of commercial bank branches in Thai Nguyen province

Abstract

This study evaluates performances of commercial bank branches in Thai Nguyen provice using data collected from the
5 biggest commercial banks. Results from analysing financial indexes and data envelopment analysis model show that
Vietnam International Bank, Thai Nguyen branch has not been optimized their resources yet. Although commercial
bank branches improved their performance in the 2011 -2014 period, except from Vietnam for Agriculture and Rural
Development Bank, Thai Nguyen branch, other branches can improve their efficency by reducing employee cost and
interest cost
