Development of derivatives- the essential for Vietnam’s firms

Abstract

This article provides an overview on derivatives, reviews and analyzes the significant impact of the utilization of derivatives on firms, especially showing the practice around the world. Thereby, the article proposes suggestions for Vietnam to develop a supportive derivatives market in order to promote firm performance and value. Moreover, implications about a new research direction in Vietnam are also provided
