Abstract

Human resources play a particularly important role in shaping the strategies, building plans, and
action programs of a business in general, as well as of a specific commercial bank. This is a key factor that
determines the success of an organization, especially in the context of digital technology and the strong
development of the 4.0 revolution, which is constantly changing as it is today. Through a comprehensive
document review and analysis, the authors have summarized the experiences of several countries and
surveyed 15 commercial banks in Vietnam to propose the establishment of standards for leadership
positions, management, and key expertise in commercial banks in Vietnam. The research results contribute
to improving the effectiveness of human resource utilization in the operations of commercial banks in
Vietnam.
