Exploiting the medical tourism potential after the covid-19 pandemic

Abstract

The whole world is facing the Covid-19 pandemic. The economy of most countries, especially the tourism sector is adversely affected by the pandemic. Vietnam is actively implementing the dual goals of the Party and Government’s policy: fighting the epidemic and growing the economy. Tourism in general and Vietnam’s medical tourism in particular are also facing many difficulties and challenges. Through the analysis of the current situation of Vietnam’s medical tourism industry, the article proposes a number of solutions to overcome difficulties and continue to promote the development of this field in the context of the raging Covid-19 pandemic, and after the pandemic was brought under control.
