Application of mind mapping method in teaching and learning English listening and writing skills

Abstract

Mind mapping is a useful means for recording, systematizing and thinking logically, efficiently and creatively. It is widely used in several different areas. In the field of education, mind maps can support teachers to impart knowledge easily, help students take notes and absorb lessons in a systematic way and have a better memorization of what they have learnt. There have been a lot of workshops and seminars held on "Using mind maps in teaching and learning”. Up to now, many schools of diferent levels of education in Phu Yen province in particular and all over the country in general have encouraged both teachers and learners to  use mind maps in teaching and learning. This article refers to the application of mind mapping in the teaching - learning of English Listening and Writing skills at Phu Yen University, from which we would like it to be thoroughly applied.
