Synthesis and properties of novel 2-r-4-(3-r’-1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-b]-1,3,4-thiadiazol-6-yl)quinoline

Abstract

            By the condensation of 4-amino-5-R-3-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole with some derivatives quinoline-4-cacboxylic in the presence of phosphorus oxychloride to give 2-R-4-(3-R’-1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-b]-1,3,4-thiadiazol-6-yl)quinoline. Their structures have been determined by IR, ¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR and MS spectral data. Some of these compounds have been tested by bactericidal and fungicidal activities.
