Some similarities and differences in using references in the conversational discourse between the English Textbook Series for Vietnamese High School Students (2015) and the New Interchange Series
Abstract
This research paper presents the results of our study on some similarities and differences of references used in the conversations between the English Textbook Series for Vietnamese High School Students (2015) and the New Interchange Series. The qualitative and quantitative approaches were employed in combination with the statistic and descriptive methods in order to find out what types of reference as well as the similarities and differences in references used in the two textbook series.
