Nutritional particularities of mugil cephalus linnaeus, 1758 at O Loan lagoon in Phu Yen province

Abstract

Mugil cephalus Linnaeus, 1758 is one of the commercial species of O Loan Lagoon, but studies on which are very limited. This paper provides some first data on the nutritional particularity of this fish. Mugil cephalus is an omnivorous. The food area for this fish is extended from groups of small fish to large fish. The intensity to take baits of Mugil cephalus Linnaeus, 1758 is quite high. The tolerance of fat coefficient as Fulton’s formula (1902) is a big difference with Clark’s formula (1902), which indicates the inherent capacity of Mugil cephalus Linnaeus, 1758.
