STUDY ON KEY FACTORS INFLUENCING ENGLISH SPEAKING SKILL AMONG STUDENTS AT NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARTS EDUCATION
Abstract
English Speaking skill is one of the most difficult skills for students at National University of Arts Education because of factors such as limited vocabulary, pronunciation accuracy, anxiety, lack of confidence, lack of motivation, and ineffective teaching methods. These factors often contribute to weak language abilities and performance. This article aims to investigate the factors affecting Vietnamese students, especially those at National University of Arts Education, when practicing speaking skills. The results demonstrate that students often fear making mistakes or being judged poorly, tend to feel stressed and anxious, lack confidence in presentations or discussions, and sometimes feel confused with their ideas. This article also gives recommendations and suggestions to improve the quality of teaching and learning speaking skill for students at National University of Arts Education.
