THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE SOUTHERN HISTORICAL NOVEL FROM ARISING STRUCTURALISM APPROACH THE EARLY 20 TH CENTURY

Abstract

In the period from the early twentieth century to 1945, Southern historical fictions were shaped and had a breakthrough comparing to the transformation of Vietnamese literature. From Arising structuralism approach, this paper analyzes the transformation of the Southern historical fictions in following aspects: writing achievements deriving from the writers' experimental acts from that they come out meaningful answers about the world; the emergence of the new historical novel genre plays an important role of breaking former structures and the forming new one. The findings assumes that transformation of composing structure meets the social structure – the people’s cultural passion in the early twentieth century.
