SEXUAL EDUCATION MEASURES THROUGH EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIVES FOR FIFTH-GRADE STUDENTS AT LE HONG PHONG PRIMARY SCHOOL, THU DAU MOT CITY, BINH DUONG PROVINCE

Abstract

The percentage of fifth-graders who are going through puberty is currently quite high due to changes in social and economic factors. The need for answers to children’s questions about psychological and physiological changes at this age is great. Children can easily access unverified sources of information on the Internet. This poses many risks to the physical and mental development of children and can also lead to cyberbullying. Therefore, sex education for primary school students through subjects and extracurricular activities is a very urgent need. This study analyzed some advantages and disadvantages of sexuality education through extracurricular activities for fifth-grade students at the Le Hong Phong Primary School, Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province. Based on this, some measures were proposed to improve the effectiveness of sexual education for fifth-grade students.
