THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND AND USE SINO-VIETNAMESE WORDS OF 7TH GRADE STUDENTS IN THE CREATIVE HORIZON LITERATURE BOOK SERIES AT MIDDLE SCHOOLS IN THUAN AN CITY, BINH DUONG PROVINCE

Abstract

The Sino-Vietnamese words also play a very important role in term structure and literary styles. In the Literature curriculum at the Middle School level, the number of lessons containing Sino-Vietnamese words is not small, so in the teaching and learning process, teachers and students must compare phonetic transcriptions, translations, and poetic translations or look up the Sino-Vietnamese element appendix. However, nowadays students do not actively look up whenever they encounter difficult words, nor do they focus on studying Literature and underestimate the role of language in communication. The study conducted a survey of 300 of 7th grade students of junior high schools in Thuan An city, Binh Duong province using a survey combined with in-depth interviews. On that basis, the article has synthesized the levels of recognizing Sino-Vietnamese words, understanding the meaning of Sino-Vietnamese words, and the ability to use and expand Sino-Vietnamese vocabulary.
