Solutions for Developing Farm Economy in Conjunction with Implementing the Model New Rural Development Program for the 2024 – 2030 Period in Di Linh District, Lam Dong Province
Abstract
The article presents the results of a master's thesis in economics by a graduate student of the economic management program at Thanh Dong University. The project's objective is to propose solutions for developing farm economies in conjunction with building a model new rural area in Di Linh district. The primary research methods include desk research combined with a survey of the farm economy's current state in Di Linh district from 2021 to 2023 to identify theoretical and practical issues as a basis for proposing solutions. In recent years, the farm economy in Di Linh district has gradually developed and achieved certain successes. However, compared to its potential and development goals, it has not yet reached its full potential due to various difficulties and inadequacies. The study presents a new finding: building new rural areas and developing farm economies are carried out simultaneously and both aim to develop the rural socio-economic landscape. There are issues that need to be addressed, such as investment in infrastructure, strengthening capital resources, labor, technology, and policy mechanisms, etc. On this basis, the project proposes combining the following solutions: (i) Effectively promoting and mobilizing the public to develop the farm economy and build model new rural areas; (ii) Focusing on developing the farm economy based on the planning of new rural development; (iii) Integrating the mobilization and effective use of funds from the farm development project and the model and advanced new rural development program; (iv) Mobilizing human and material resources to invest in building physical infrastructure to serve production; (v) Providing technical training, economic management, and vocational training for workers; (vi) Improving organizational management, establishing value chain and supply chain links between farms and businesses, cooperatives, and farmers.
