Improve Technical English Capability for Vietnamese Engineers in the New Age

Abstract

This article studies the importance of improving technical English skills for Vietnamese engineers in the context of globalization and increasingly deepening international integration. The study focuses on analyzing the challenges that Vietnamese engineers are facing, such as the lack of specialized English training materials and cultural and language differences in the international working environment. Limited English can cause misunderstandings, slow down work progress and reduce cooperation efficiency as well as limit updating the latest knowledge and applying advanced technologies. The article also proposes training strategies and methods to improve technical English abilities for engineers, including integrating specialized English courses into engineer training programs, strengthening technical activities Actively practice English in real-life contexts, and use technology to support learning.
