DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT AT VOCATIONAL EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN VIETNAM: ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS
Abstract
Digital transformation in educational management is an inevitable trend to enhance the quality and competitiveness of vocational education in Vietnam amid the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This study analyzes the current situation, identifies key challenges, and proposes solutions to promote the process. Based on secondary data analysis, findings show that vocational education institutions have made initial progress in improving management efficiency and transparency. However, implementation still faces limitations, including fragmented technology applications, lack of standardized shared databases, and insufficient awareness of digital transformation as a strategic management task rather than merely a technical one. These challenges arise from both objective factors (financial resources, lack of standards) and subjective factors (leadership mindset, digital competence of staff). Accordingly, the study suggests two groups of integrated solutions: improving the legal framework and investment policies, and shifting leadership mindset while developing integrated technology systems with a focus on digital human resource development.
