SEVERAL RESULTS IN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF NANOMATERIALS FOR BIOMEDICAL APPLICATION.
Abstract
Several results in research and development of nanomaterials for biomedical applications in the recent 5 years will be presented briefly in this paper. There are the significant achievements in the development of contrasted agent for magnetic resonance imaging diagnosis, materials for thermagnetic treatment of tumor cell, for fluorescent labeling agricultural products and targeted drug delivery. There is also the evaluation of the research on fabrication and characterization of rare earth containing nanomaterials and structures, which is basic platform to develop many conjugates linked with appropriate protein for labeling virus or vaccine in industrial production line. It is consistent to state that the fabricated bioconjugates could be used as the labeling tool for recognizing virus in diagnosis or in vaccine production by using fluorescence immunoassay method. Based on these biomedical labeling conjugates, it will be able to develop an imaging tool for recognition of virus, vaccine and biomolecules, which can enable early detection of infective and tumor diseases. On the other hand, it suggests new application potential from integrated nanomaterials and structures in biomedicine and government’s necessary policies for scientific research and technology transfer of high tech products and procedures into economic system of Vietnam.
