Abstract

The result of determining bacteria contamination in fresh pork selling at the open air markets in Northern provinces showed that 50% and 46.15% of fresh pork samples contaminated with enterotoxin release Salmonella spp and Staphylococcus aureus respectively.3 serovar Salmonella spp were found in the fresh pork samples, including Salmonella typhimurium (61.53%), Salmonella weltevreden (15.38%), and Salmonella anatum (23.08%).The DNA carrying the enterotoxin release encoded gene of the isolated Salmonella spp was identified. The length of this PCR product was about 259 bp.The DNA carrying the enterotoxin release encoded gene of the isolated Staphylococcus aureus was also identified. The length of this PCR product was about 534 bp.
