IMPROVEMENT OF FULL THICKNESS SKIN GRAFT FOR BURN SEQUELAE TREATMENT.

Abstract

             A study on improvement of full thickness skin graft for burn sequelae treatment in 55 patients at Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, National Institute of Burns from 6.2013 to 6.2014 showed that the scar contractures were commonly seen in children and adults, less in the elderly; the proportions between men and women were equal; the common locations of scar contracture were on hands and fingers, with the percentage of 54.5%; it was often under 12 months from the time of being burned to the time of surgery, with the percentage of 56.3%; the common location of taking skin was at inguinal areas, accounting for 90.9%. Surgeries were performed on 55 patients with satisfactory results; the ratio of good skin grafts was 94.5%.
