THE IMPACT OF FERTILIZERS AND PLANTING DENSITY ON THE KM98-7 CASSAVA VARIETY IN THAI NGUYEN PROVINCE

Abstract

         The new cassava variety - KM98-7 has the yield of 38-42 tons/ha, high starch content (30%), low cyanogenic potential. Particularly, its growth duration (8-10 months) is 1-2 months shorter than that of the KM94 variety. Futhermore, it can easily adapt to different types of soil and weather condition in the Northern Viet Nam. In order to grow the KM98-7 cassava variety with high yield, over 2 years of research trials, Root Crop Research and Development Center has been completed the cultivation technique process for this vatiety.
